So, you’ve invested in an embroidery machine, all the supplies that go with it and of course, Cubbies! Trying something new can be daunting, so here are the basics to get you started.

Test Runs

There are many variables which can mean the same design will stitch out differently: digitizer, stabilizer, fabric, tension, needle and thread. Therefore, when you are starting out, or using a new design, it is always sensible to take the time to do some test runs on a similar fabric before embroidering your Cubby.

Hooping

The best way to hoop a Cubby is by using a 4×4 square or 5″ circular hoop. Everybody has their own technique when it comes to hooping, whether you float, clamp or hoop on either a Cubby, Dumble or Blankie. Here are a few videos outlining some of the most popular methods.

Learn
